Puyanawa tribe
In the early 20th century, the Puyanawa inhabited the headwaters of tributaries of the lower Moa River, and after contact with non-Indians, they were forced to live on land belonging to a colonel named Mancio Lima. Today they live in two villages, Barão do Rio Branco and Ipiranga located in the village of Mancio Lima, in Acre on the banks of the Moa River. this village is known as Pivo de Sapo (people of the frog).
