These handmade maraca (shamanic rattles) are made by the Shipibo Indians of the Pucalpa region of Peru. The maracas are decorated with turquoise and bird feathers collected from the Amazon rainforest. The handle of the rattles is made of liana crystal.

We specially selected the rattles based on the sound of the seeds inside, so that the rattles have a beautiful clear and strong sound. Maraca vary slightly in color, shape and design, all handmade by natives of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. The "shamanic rattle" is used to open and close sacred ritual spaces and also to energetically clear people and rooms.

Listen to how these maracas sound.

Apart from the drum, the rattle has always been one of the most important shamanic instruments around the world.

Length of maraca: approx. 15 cm
