Amescla is a resin from the South American tree Protium heptaphyllum. It is also sometimes called Breu Branco (white copal) in Brazil. Amescla is used in Brazil for energy cleansing, but it is also very useful for meditation. The whiter the amescla crystals are, the more concentrated it is (it does not contain bark residue), so it is very hard to find in this quality. We brought our amescla from central Brazil, from Vale do Amanhecer, where people with mediumistic abilities perform energy healing ceremonies. Amescla is part of a special cleansing ritual here because it can not only cleanse the energies, but also raise the vibration. It is advisable to pound the amescla into a fine powder before heating it.
