These handmade rattle-eggs are made by the Shipibo Indians of the Pucalpa region of Peru. The egg is made from the fruit of a sacred plant called Wingo and decorated with an Ayahuasca design.

Each rattlesnake is handmade, so each is original, differing in size, use of coloured threads and feathers.

These handmade rattle-eggs are made by the Shipibo Indians of the Pucalpa region of Peru. The egg is made from the fruit of a sacred plant called Wingo and decorated with an Ayahuasca design.

We specifically chose the rattles according to the sound of the seeds inside, so that the rattles have a nice clear and strong sound. The rattles vary slightly in color, shape and design, all handmade by natives of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest.

Apart from the drum, the rattle has always been one of the most important shamanic instruments around the world.
