Mel is Rapé made by the Kuntanawa tribe, living in Brazil, in Acré, on the upper reaches of the Tejo River, Alto Juruá.
In the village of Kuntamanã, lives the "leader" and Pajé Haru Kuntanawa, who is helping his tribe to regain its footing and gain full ethnic recognition. Because this particular tribe almost disappeared during the rubber boom in Brazil and lost many of its traditions and tribal language as a result.

There are now about 350 Indians in the Kuntanawa tribe, and Paje Haru is a great help for the restoration of tribal values.

With the help of the sacred spirit of the rainforest, the Kuntanawa tribe is reawakened and awakened. As Pajé Haru himself says, "I believe that through the plants of power and its guidance, the Kuntanawa people will rediscover their ancient knowledge and remember their lost customs."

That is why we have chosen to share with you Rapé, the Kuntanawa tribe who have such a special and deep relationship with this shamanic way of remembering.

Haru Kuntanawa

Haru Kuntanawa has also created the "Kunta" project in which the center is the village of Kuntamanã, where the tribe members live and is also a village of mutual meetings of tribes such as Yawanawa, Poyanawa, Kaxinawa, Jaminawa, Deadawa. Huru is trying to create sustainable projects in the village such as handicrafts, live pharmacy, reforestation, fish farming and other projects that bring cultural, environmental, social and economic values. And especially the tribes are passing knowledge among themselves and remembering ancient teachings lost among words.
