The embroidered ceremonial blankets of the Shipibo tribe reflect the cosmology of the tribe, and their patterns represent visions associated with healing and natural medicine. Shipibo themselves says that their traditional patterns represent the ways of medicine, and the little dots are “doctorsitos,” or ghost healers.
